Blog 76: Confessions Of A Terrible Daughter.

Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction

Having a child can be a blessing but if it turns into a curse, it becomes a case of wasted pregnancy in the first place and all those years of trying to raise the child turns futile.

This is a story about this couple, Heather Mack and her boyfriend Tommy Schaefer for those of you who don’t know. On a trip to Bali in 2014, Heather and her boyfriend were convicted of murdering her mother, Sheila von Wiese Mack and stuffed her body in a luggage. (click the picture to watch)

What was most evil about her deed was her confession of what led to the murder and how she put an alleged innocent man in jail if she were to be believed. Fast forward to 2017, Heather Mack has now come clean in a video confession on why she committed such a barbaric act.

Whatever her reasons are is left to be desired but my question is, could this be a case of the chickens have come home to roost? Or could it be simply the restriction been put on us as parents by the government that we can’t raise our children with strict discipline like the good old days?

Let’s take the video below for example, if at the age of 13 your could insult and embarrass your mother publicly, imagine what you would do to her by age 20.

My point is people with truculent and evil ideas don’t develop over night, there are usually signs in the early stages. What can be done to remedy these situation in my opinion lies in the hands on the government to allow the parents to instil utmost discipline in their children within reason.

Emasculating society does not help but for a parent to know that he or she is not going to do jail time for enforcing some form of punishment as a result continuous misbehaviour will most certainly let the child know that somethings are not to be condoned and perhaps their attitude won’t get this far.

Your thoughts below.
