Federal authorities seized cocaine, worth almost $1bn, at a philadelphia shipping port. Crew members arrested in the massive bust.
There were 16.5 tons of drugs found stashed in seven containers.
“This is one of the largest drug seizures in United States history” tweeted Mark McSwain, attorney for the eartern district of Pennsylvania. “My office is committed to keeping our boarders secure and streets safe from deadly narcotics”
The street value of the drugs is said to be worth as much as $1 billion.
