Blog 76: Florida Teenager Stole Parents Money, Attempted Using Funds to Hire Hitmen to Murder Them.

It is a common knowledge to most people that raising a child is empirically one of the toughest, perhaps the most challenging jobs and all your child (or children) really owe you is to do well later in life or else the years of labour and sacrifice in nurturing could be interpreted as a waste of time.

Stories like Alyssa Michelle Hatcher’s is appalling and no parent should ever go through it.

The best way to repay an opportunity or a privilege is what do with the opportunity given. Every child born in the western world has a head start in life that is not fair on most children born in the third world.

How Ms Hatcher chose to pay her parents for all that was done for her is abominable. She told detectives she stole a debit card from her mother and withdrew $1,400 (£1132) in cash, the fact that Ms Hatcher knew her parent’s PIN suggests she was loved and trusted implicitly.

According to The Independent, She used the cash to pay a friend $400 (£323) to murder her parents. When the friend failed to carry out the job, she then paid a second friend $900 (£728) to finish the job, just so she could perhaps “cash in on her inheritance”? Although her motive is unclear.

Her parents intend to press charges.

According to Miami Herald’s local crime report, She is known to use cocaine and it is not clear if she was under the influence at the time of solicitation.
