Blog 76: Why Are Some People More Successful Than Others?

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The one thing most people crave in life after health, is success. Success does not necessarily imply monetary gains, albeit essential. But, to succeed at something is pulmonary to our existence just as the air we breathe.

In spite of our competitive desire to accomplish what we set out to do, the cream will always rise to the top. In other words, some get to the finish line and others fall by the wayside.

So why are some people more successful that others? The simple answer is habit.

In the words of Dan Lok, “You do not decide your future. You decide your habit, and your habit decides your future”.

Success and failure are both a state of mind, that are easily predicted from afar. Both don’t happen overnight, it’s the little things we do daily that constitute our habit. Our habit then determine if we will succeed or fail.

Taking responsibility is key to the former. For example if you want to be successful as a business entrepreneur, you must start with little daily habits of taking responsibility to do something in your down time, on a consistent basis. It may take years, but success is guaranteed if you stayed the course.

Habit is a routine of behaviour that is repeated regularly and tends to occur subconsciously. If you have the right habit and marry that to a mindset, where you visualize your goals and a belief system that it will happen, success is a guarantee. Monetary value will surely be a by-product of these values.
