The start of this new decade has been nothing short of challenges. First it was the Corona virus that started out as a Chinese epidemic in Wuhan, right in the middle of Chinese new year. It quickly morphed into a pandemic that saw a worldwide lock down that spanned three months.
Just when we thought it could not get any worse, a pandemic of protesters scattered across many cities to protest the murder of an unarmed black in Minneapolis, Minnesota by a white police officer.
The murder was caught on real time and the footage quickly went viral on social media, which caused a barrage of anger and nausea. This has happened one too many times but this time round is different. Milennials have had enough of the injustice and racial inequalities that have gone on far too long.
Black men and women all over world are disproportionately disadvantaged as a collective, they own and control nothing of sustainable value purely due to the increasing wealth gaps between blacks and non blacks.
Blacks are not in any major position of power to make and effect change at any level.
Due to the lack of resources and poor positioning as a race, blacks have historically been subjected to been controlled by the elite and often times killed at will because they know all that is going to come out of it is a protest. This has been a pattern since slavery was abolished.
George Floyd’s murder protest is different. All race, colour and creed have joined forces from all over the world to repudiate racism but most importantly the disdain for black life.
Racism is prevalent anywhere you find people of different race, the problem is some places are more overt than others. One thing we can all concur is racism is systemic and whoever control resources has the advantage, in this case it is the white race.
Until blacks build a community, economic independence and start controlling resources collectively, I do not see the contempt for black lives going anywhere soon.
Jews, Chinese and LGBTQ community know full well if the police killed any of the kind for no reasons, there will be hell to pay. Whites don’t have blacks skin colour, as Dr. Claude Anderson eloquently stated, they hate black condition.
Whites can get away with the racism and killing because blacks are weak. It is in human nature to perpetuate any wrongdoing when you know you can get away with it.
